As you have gotten used to your Invisalign, you’ve likely built a routine that works for you. While you’re at home, you have your own tools that make taking care of them and your teeth as easy as possible. That said, if you are planning on travelling soon, then you might be worried about keeping up with your routine while you’re out and about. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be complicated! Here are three simple tips to remember.

Bring Extra Aligners and Other Essentials

During your treatment, you’ll need to swap over to a new set of trays every week or two. This will put new pressure on your teeth and progress your treatment. This is what helps you get the straighter smile you dream of. So, it’s important you swap over when expected. If you are planning on being gone for weeks or months, then take a look ahead at your timeline and bring the right number of aligners.

Not only that, but consider having a small pouch of your dental essentials with you. A travel toothbrush, floss, mini toothpaste, and mouthwash can ensure you’re never far from what you need to clean your smile. That way, you can still explore the cuisine of the area and keep your smile protected from any trouble.

Keep Spare Bottles of Water Handy

Whether you’re going by plane or car, the restrooms you’ll have access to may not be up to your cleanliness standards. Many people are often grossed out by using the lavatories or sinks in gas stations. A great way around this is by having a few water bottles with you. You can use them and feel more comfortable wetting your toothbrush and rinsing your mouth.

Stick to Your Aligner Routine

When you arrive at your destination, you might be excited to simply relax and enjoy the scenery. You might feel a bit more carefree, but make sure it doesn’t affect your Invisalign routine. Still be diligent about getting the full 22-hour wear time; that way, you avoid delays to your straighter smile in the end. If you are having trouble, then try setting alarms and timers. These can be especially helpful as a reminder to put them back in.
